Admission Criteria for Colleges
For B.Sc Nursing, students generally need to complete Class 12th with relevant science subjects, particularly Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Specific eligibility requirements differ by college and university.
Nursing is one of the most stable and in-demand career choices for students after Class 12, but it isn’t a single path — the right course depends on how quickly a student wants to start working and how much time they can commit to their education. As a nursing admission consultant, Shamar Group of Institutions helps students understand these options clearly before recommending any college, and manages the counselling and admission process from there.
Entrance Exams
Depending on the institution, nursing admissions may be through AIIMS Nursing, state-level nursing entrance exams, university entrance tests, or other applicable admission processes.

BSc Nursing
BSc Nursing is the four-year degree route, generally suited to students who want a stronger academic foundation and better long-term career flexibility, including options in specialised nursing roles or further studies later. Our BSc Nursing admission consultancy covers eligibility, entrance requirements where applicable, and shortlisting from BSc Nursing colleges in India based on recognition, clinical exposure and fees. We handle BSc Nursing college admission end to end and can guide students toward the best BSc Nursing colleges in India for their profile and budget.
GNM admission
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) is a shorter diploma route for students who want to enter the nursing profession sooner without committing to a full degree upfront. Our GNM admission guidance walks students through eligibility, recognised institutions, and how a GNM background can lead into further nursing qualifications later if a student chooses to continue studying.
ANM admission
ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) is the shortest of the three routes, aimed at students looking to start working in community and primary healthcare settings quickly. We help students understand ANM admission eligibility and connect them with recognised institutions offering the course.
Nursing admission after 12th — choosing the right route
Many students approaching us after Class 12 aren’t sure whether BSc Nursing, GNM or ANM is right for them. Our nursing admission consultancy starts with understanding a student’s timeline, budget and long-term goals before recommending a course, so the decision is based on fit rather than which option is easiest to explain.
Career Opportunities
Nursing graduates can work in Hospitals, Clinics, Healthcare Centres, Community Health Services, Nursing Homes, and Healthcare Institutions. They can also pursue opportunities in specialized nursing, teaching, administration, and higher studies.
